October 2016 - Club Championship

The Club Championship was played over two days, the 1st & 2nd of October.

The men's competition was won by a member new to the club this year, Graeme Nichol, who shot a gross 161, 82 on the first day and 79 on the second. Bill Martin won the net prize with a net 148, 74 on each day.

The ladies' competition was quite exciting as at the end of the 36 holes of golf Mari-Anne Olsson and Sue Storer were tied with a gross score of 177, Mari-Anne with 88 on the first day and 89 on the second, while Sue had a 93 and 84. The two ladies then had a 3-hole play-off at the end of which Mari-Anne was declared the Ladies' Club Champion, while Sue won the net prize with a net 145, 77 on the first day and 68 on the second.

June 2016 - Minthis Hills wins the CGF Cup

Minthis Hills scored 193 stableford points, 20 points ahead the team that came second.

  • The Team comprised: Gill Cackett, Gwen Jones, Colin Clark, Chris Clowes, Alvin Gayle, Bill Martin, Steve Powis and Julian Tyrer, Sue Storer and Ron Taylor were reserves.
  • Julian Tyrer won the “Man of the Match” trophy with 40 stableford points (5 points ahead of his nearest rival).
  • Gwen Jones, with 32 points was the second highest scoring lady, only 3 behind the player who won the “Lady of the Match” trophy, and she was 8th overall.
  • Colin Clark was 10th overall.

September 2015 - Yet again Minthis Hills does well in the Cyprus Senior Amateur Open competitions

Marie-Anne Olsson was the winner of the Division 2 Ladies' Net competition with a (36-hole) score of 142. Gwen Jones was the winner of the Super Senior title with a score of 142. Lars-Eric Svensson was the winner of the Division 2 Men's Net competition with a score of 147. Congratulations to all of them on their impressive performances.
